Clinical Supervisor

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor monitors and evaluates the progress of children in the Intensive Applied Behavior Analytic Outpatient Program (TRICARE and DARS). The Clinical Supervisor conducts evaluations, formulates treatment plans and supports the Clinical Director for treatment decisions, as well as serves as the point of contact for parents/families and direct supervisor for all ABA tutors and techs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serve as the point of contact for parents inquiring about the program

  • Set meetings with people interested in either receiving services from the program or who are interested in working in the program. Offer tours, etc.

  • Conduct assessments and prepare treatment plans

  • Train and evaluate staff performance (quality assurance)

  • Consult with Clinical Director regarding clinical decisions about children’s progress in treatment

  • Lead clinical review meetings and communicate clinical decisions to parents regarding children’s progress

  • Conduct and/or supervise behavior protocols, assessments, and treatment plans; evaluate and revise treatment plans

  • Assess staff training needs and coordinate training events

  • Provide initial two week Instructor Therapist training

  • Maintain and oversee appropriate clinical case documentation

  • Oversee documentation of daily services provided time sheets

  • Maintain and safeguard the program’s instructional materials

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • M.A. Degree in Psychology or related field

  • BCBA

  • Advanced knowledge of autism, developmental disabilities, ABA, and clinical assessment tools

  • Superior interpersonal skills and experience working as a member of a team

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage numerous tasks and projects with minimal supervision

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to accommodate competing demands, meet deadlines and work with confidential information

Employment Services Coordinator

The Autism Treatment Center has an opening for an Employment Services Coordinator (ES Coordinator) position. The ES Coordinator has overall responsibility for all aspects of the vocational program to include providing the level of support, training and teaching in order for the consumer to perform the determined job. They must be able to assist the consumers in attaining and maintaining maximum functional independence and to protect the rights of these individuals.

The ES Coordinator will also be responsible for supervising vocational staff to ensure exceptional delivery of services to consumers (pottery, piñata making and horticultural therapy), and serve as liaison between administration and the vocational department.  The successful candidate must be able to work within the prescribed fiscal year budget. The Employment Services Coordinator serves as a member of the San Antonio Management Team and San Antonio Safety Committee. The ES Coordinator will also serve as the driving force behind the cottage industry established for the consumers: Pottery making, Piñata making and Horticultural Therapy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Minimum one year experience in community/education programs for the disabled

  • Previous experience in program data and progress report writing is required

  • Previous experience in case management or recreational therapy is preferred

Certified ABA Teacher

This full time position in the Autism school will assisting in the development of IEP, IHP, IDT, ISP and Treatment Plans. The Teacher will provide daily training teaching each Learner to attain and maintain the skills necessary to achieve maximum functional independence and academic success. Will also support and promote the rights of Learners and function effectively as a member of Interdisciplinary Team. This position will train Teacher Assistant intervention techniques and best practices in behavior management. Successful candidates will be supervised by BCBA in the delivery of instruction to children with developmental disorders, specific to social, communication and cognitive development. Experience in teaching Autistic children in a school setting is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education

  • Strong ABA background preferred

  • Must have clean criminal background

  • Must pass the pre-employment process

  • Must have a good work history

  • Must be over 21 yrs old

  • Must have a strong desire to apply a behavioral approach to teaching

ABA Tutors

ABA tutors needed to work one on one with children in an outpatient therapy clinic.

PT On Call LVN

This is the ideal opportunity for the retired nurse or PT nurse with behavioral and/or psychiatric exp desiring on call hrs. The LVN on call will respond to medical situations and emergencies during the on call hours.  The on call hours for this position are Fri 4:30pm to Mon 8:30 am.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a current Licensed Vocational Nurse

  • Experience in behavioral or psychiatric setting is preferred.

  • Must pass the pre-employment screening process

Occupational Therapist

An Occupational Therapist position is available in our fast growing Medicaid outpatient facility specializing in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive diagnostic services to patients referred for a possible in the areas of fine motor development, orthopedic abnormality, or neurological deficits. With physician referral and approval, treatment plans are implemented to address deficits identified in any, or all of these areas. Goals are set to move the individual toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

  • Must possess a Texas License to practice Occupational Therapy

  • Competent to treat pediatrics and adolescents

  • CPR certified for all age groups

  • Computer skills – Microsoft Word preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift, guard, transfer and maneuver patients of all sizes and weights, utilizing assistance or special equipment as needed on a recurring basis and in a safe manner.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to safely apply all necessary modalities and operation of equipment.

This full time position requires living and working in one of our NE side teaching homes. This shift begins each Monday at 4:15pm to 8:30am Tuesday morning (Monday-Thursday; 65 hours per week). Each teaching home provides active treatment to six individuals/residents. Each teaching home has two employees working with 6 residents at a time. We maintain a low 1:4 employee to client ratio in an effort to provide quality treatment and training to our clients. Will teach personal care, social skills and communication skills in the residential environment.

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 21 years of age

  • Clean criminal background

  • Consistent work history

  • Starting Salary: $25,879 yr 

 

Weekend Personal Care Assistant

This full time position requires living and working in one of our NE side teaching homes. This shift begins each Friday at 4:00pm and ends on Monday at 8:30 am (Friday-Monday; 64.5 hours). Each teaching home provides active treatment to six individuals/residents. Each teaching home has two employees working with 6 residents at a time. We maintain a low 1:4 employee to client ratio in an effort to provide quality treatment and training to our clients.

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 21 years of age.

  • Clean criminal background.

  • Consistent work history.

  • Starting Salary: $26,134 yr
