Teacher Assistant

Autism Treatment Center is accepting applications for teacher assistants to work in TEA accredited year round school.
Qualified applicants will demonstrate the ability to work with children’s challenging behaviors and deliver instruction to achieve educational goals and objectives. Part Time ABA Therapist

This part time position will assist in the development of IEP and Treatment Plans. The Therapist will provide daily training to students in order to attain and maintain the skills necessary to achieve maximum functional independence and academic success. Will also support and promote the rights of students and function effectively as a member of Interdisciplinary Team. This position will train Teacher Assistants and Teachers with intervention techniques and best practices in behavior management as well as work closely with the Manager of Behavioral Services in designing effective behavioral protocols and FBAs. Experience working with autism spectrum disorders preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Strong ABA background preferred • Must have clean criminal background
  • Must pass the pre-employment process
  • Must have a good work history
  • Must be over 21 yrs old
  • Must have a strong desire to apply a behavioral approach to teaching

Physical Therapist

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Texas license to practice Physical Therapy. CPR certification for all age groups. Microsoft Office computer skills. A minimum of 2 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

 

Speech-Language Pathologist

Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech program holding a Master’s Degree. Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year. Texas License to practice Speech Language Pathology. CPR certification for all age groups. Computer skills with Microsoft knowledge. Experience working with children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

 

Occupational Therapist

Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy. Texas License to practice Occupational Therapist. CPR certification for all age groups. Computer skills with Microsoft office knowledge. Experience working with children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
