Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist—Dallas

Job Description:

  • Implement instruction using the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) by working one on one with individuals/children with disabilities
  • Implement treatment plans written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCaBA)
  • Training and consultation by the BCBA will be ongoing (*This is a great way to obtain supervision/experience hours!)
  • This is a part-time (20-30 hours per week) position, Monday through Friday
  • We provide ABA therapy at our center in north Dallas (near Richardson) and are a small and expanding program
  • We work with wonderful individuals of all ages and families and are looking for a dedicated and creative person to join our team!

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (minimum), and either two years of full-time direct, supervised work experience providing ABA services to children with disabilities, or
  • Current enrollment in a degree program that is an approved professional preparation program for licensure under Education Law Title VIII for a profession that includes ABA within its scope (e.g., psychologist or mental health practitioner, education, with a specialization in ABA), or
  • Teacher preparation program leading to teacher certification
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass drug test; pass TB test

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)—Fort Worth

Part-time position available at Fort Worth location

Autism Treatment Center is looking for highly trained and motivated BCBAs for our Dallas and Fort Worth locations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments including parent interviews and direct assessment with individuals as part of functional behavior assessment (FBA), ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP
  • Develop treatment plans including goals and objectives and behavior intervention plans using research-based strategies and principles of applied behavior analysis
  • Train staff on implementation of treatment and behavior plans, ensure fidelity in implementation and data-taking
  • Provide ongoing supervision of staff and programs and provide parent training
  • Provide direct instruction for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities off all ages (early childhood to adulthood) and ability levels, including one on one instruction and group social skills training for young adults/adults with ASD/DD

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Currently certified as BCBA
  • 3 or more years of supervisory/BCBA experience
  • Experience and/or willingness to work with individuals with ASD/DD of all ages 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Occupational Therapist (Part Time)—Fort Worth

The Occupational Therapist is a qualified, licensed professional who provides, evaluates, and supervises occupational therapy services to children and adults with autism in our Fort Worth Therapy Clinic, as prescribed by a licensed physician.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school program of Occupational Therapy; Currently licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas; Relevant clinical experience, 1 year or more preferred; Current CPR/First Aid certification for all age groups; Computer skills with Microsoft office knowledge; and Experience working with children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

Duties:

  • Performs initial evaluation and develops treatment plans in accordance with physician’s orders.
  • Implements treatment plan, provides occupational therapy services to children and adults with autism.
  • Instructs patients, their families, and other members of the service team in regards to therapy procedures.
  • Reports pertinent observations, reactions, and any patient behavioral issues to appropriate team member.
  • Maintains patient records in accordance with ATC standards, state and federal regulations, and submits documentation within required timeframes.
  • Participates in patient care conferences as needed, communicates with other team members, in order to facilitate coordination of patient care.
  • Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistant (when applicable) to accomplish the plan of treatment as developed.
  • Participates in training and meetings with ATC to learn procedures and develop skills and knowledge of Autism.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with ATC policy and procedures.  Adheres to all rules, regulations, and code of ethics, guidelines, and codes in federal, state and local laws, which are concerned with the practice of occupational therapy.
  • May be required to meet with supervisor, technical support staff, human resources, or other support staff as needed to maintain therapy standards and patient care.
  • Incidental time is a part of the job responsibilities which includes, but not limited to, patient chart updates, patient notes and call logs, performance reviews, supervisory meetings, and training.

Adult Services Coordinator—San Antonio

The Autism Treatment Center of San Antonio is seeking an Adult Services Coordinator to oversee the deliverable services to our adults within our day habilitation program.

Duties and responsibilities for ATC's day habilitation include, but are not limited to:

Services & Programming for Adults in the Program:

  • Provide an active teaching environment for staff members and adults attending the program
  • Engage adults in the Heart to Home: Meaningful Living Meaningful Work program in gross motor and fine motor skills,
    volunteer opportunities, therapeutic horticulture and fine arts
  • Create retail opportunities for Heart to Home products are farmer's market  on Saturdays
  • Utilize News 2 You curriculum to increase teachable moments and communication between the adults in the program
  • Collect data on all individualized service plans as well as incident reports and injury reports
Administration:
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff for ATC Individuals (Case Managers, Residential Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, Nurse, Director and others as needed)
  • Coordinate with appropriate people/agencies/businesses for community activities (Meals on Wheels, Diaper Bank, Haven For Hope, SA Food Bank, Farmer's Market)
  • Conduct de-briefing meetings (situational handling) with direct reports  after any serious incident, i.e., elopement, injuries, SAMA contaminants,  and or accident
  • Follow all ATC Policies and Procedures
  • Supervise direct reports and substitutes reporting to the program.  Complete evaluations and sub evaluations per Policy
  • Serve as an active participant at Management Team meetings
  • Ensure appropriate Staff to Individual ratio
  • Interact within department to facilitate and supervise positive co-worker relationships
  • Report any illness/injury or medical problem to the Nursing department
  • Adhere to Universal Precautions and Blood borne pathogen Standards while working with learners.  Must communicate standards to vocational staff
  • Observe and report any indication of abuse and/or neglect to supervisor or Rights protection officer
Qualifications, Knowleage, Skill and Abilites:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant work experience)
  • Working history in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience providing services to adults on the autism spectrum
  • Minimum of two years experience supervising the work of others in an autism/day habilitation treatment setting
  • Ability to organize and communicate readily with therapists, family members, contract liaisons, and ATC administration
  • Must have good writing and analytical abilities
  • Must be able to facilitate team meetings and clearly communicate ideas, concerns, and solutions to the Assistant Director and Director

Education & Behavior Services Coordinator—San Antonio

The Autism Treatment Center of San Antonio is seeking a Behavior Services Coordinator to oversee the deliverable services to children ages 3-21.  This position is responsible for developing individualized behavior intervention plans and overseeing behavioral & educational data collection, program service data for children placed at the ATC's Texas Education Agency (TEA) nonpublic school.

Duties and responsibilities for ATC's educational nonpublic school include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, review, maintain and update IEP goals for TEA students (weekly and monthly)
  • Develops and submits monthly educational & related services progress notes to school districts
  • Demonstrates teaching and behavior intervention strategies in the classroom
  • Review, recommend and update BTP goals as needed and as approved by the IDT committee
  • Attend ARD meetings representing ATC educational and behavioral service components
  • Collect and review program data daily; train staff to deliver services following best practices in data collection and programming
  • Parent Liaison: face to face, phone calls, home communication notes
  • Conduct FBAs and FAs as needed
  • Ensure ISD master charts are TEA audit ready at all times (legal folders and master charts) by regularly maintaining folders and
    working with the Director to ensure they are secure
  • ABLLS assessments and updates to program goals
  • Oversees certified teachers and ensures the classrooms are visually stimulating, safe, and compliant
  • Analyzing behavioral and program data and offering continuous behavior support to Educational Supervisor and Paraprofessionals
    who teach students enrolled at ATC through school district contract
  • Developing and training Certified Teachers and Paraprofessionals on data collection procedures
  • Provide educational and clinical supervision to educational staff
  • Experience wtih ARD documents; comfortable developing individualized schedules and educational goals and objectives
  • Utilizes ABLLS and STAR Autism Support
  • Ensure all documentation meets TEA standards through collaboration with ATC Certified Teachers
  • Conduct admissions assessment for new students being enrolled in ATC's TEA nonpublic school
  • Maintain open lines of communication with families and Special Education Directors who have students enrolled at ATC
  • Create and maintain master charts for ISD students
  • Help develop educational programming utilizing the ABLLS
  • Develops, writes, and trains staff on Behavior Intervention Plans for students

Special Education Certified Teacher—San Antonio

The Autism Treatment Center is looking for a Certified Special Education Teacher to work in a classroom with students enrolled in our educational program. This is full time position assisting in the development of IEP, IHP, IDT, ISP and Treatment Plans. The Teacher will provide daily instruction to students to attain and maintain the skills necessary to achieve maximum functional independence and academic success. Will also support and promote the rights of Learners and function effectively as a member of Interdisciplinary Team. This position will deliver intervention techniques and best practices in behavior management. Successful candidates will be supervised by BCBA in the delivery of instruction to children with developmental disorders, specific to social, communication and cognitive development. Experience in teaching individuals with autism in a school setting is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
